The numbers are the link numbers...when you put the pointer on the link you will see that link number. The OP gives the url number so you will know what link credited for them and to help you know which link to click for credit.

Everytime I click the link above it brings me to the home page with the link I inserted. So the link is only to get you to the site it is not a referral link.
