Most likely a petty whine but Best Buy starting to tick me off.

I've been a reward zone participant since they started...and I seem to have to fight to get all my bonus points when they are to be posted.

Site says it takes 30 days. So one month. Nope Customer Service keeps telling me 30 business days. But the site only lists 30 days.

Well I pre-ordered a ps2 Resident Evil: Outbreak file 2 game for 3,000 bonus points and a dvd widescreen movie TROY for 15,000 bonus points on April 3rd.

Today I checked my point balance and finally the company posted my purchase points for April 3rd but no bonus points.

I called Best Buy to inquire. Million step process to get to a live person. I explain to the lady my missing bonus points, the products bought and the exact points I'm missing. Gave her dates, price everything to find I was telling the truth etc. (make her job easier) She looks into the matter...back on the phone. Million questions like did you return an item? (NO) blah, blah, blah...

Finally after 30 minutes..."Yep, you are to have the 18,000 bonus points too. I'll credit your account."

Why is it always an inquisition to get your bonus points that they advertise with purchases/points? I hate having to do this everytime I am to get bonus points, and yet what I really have to look forward to is being treated like a criminal...for being a customer!

Just wait till my 12,000 bonus points for purchasing Meet the Parents/Meet the Fockers and my 10,000 bonus points for purchasing Pocahontas.

They'll try and send me to Customer Prison for my rightful points.

GEEZ!!!!!!!

wow what a mess! I never understood how the reward program worked.. do you have to pay for it? I'm sorry you have to go through all of this, that's a bit ridiculous. Have you thought about calling the higher ups or writing them a letter? It's ridiculous in itself that you have to wait 30 days (business or not) just toget them credited to your acct. then you don't get your bonus points... What happens when you get so many? can you get free items from the store? Or do you get coupons or gift certificates? *hugs* I hope it gets better. btw you can always go to planetfeedback.com and list your complaint, maybe someone will hear you then. I have to admit, I don't even like shopping at Best Buy anymore, so I go to Curcuit City. I guess I don't like them chasing me down to look at my recipt when they saw me just come from the register.

the program costs $10 per year. for every 15,000 points to your credit or $150 spent you get a $5 gift certificate for future purchases.

Forgot about Planet Feedback. Will likely pass on a letter through them. Will see what happens then.

Media Play has a similar rewards club. It's great!! My dad is always receiving his rewards certificates without any trouble.

LOL.
Best Buy STOLE Media Play's, Suncoast's, Sam Goody's Reward program! Best Buy bought those stores under the MUSICLAND Group back in 2001., they ended up taking Musiclands Wherehouse & Rewards Program when Best Buy sold them. I used to manage a Suncoast & quit when Best Buy took too much control of my stores operation.

As for BB's rewrda zone, I got it free when I bought my new flat screen TV. I have yet to receive any rewards from them! I got my mailing with my details, but I was under the impression thath they will send out the Rewards Certif's when you reached enough points.

We have the Media play reward thing, It is always nice to get a thing in the mail from them. It means I get a new book:) lol We have a $10.00 one now we still have to use.

I do not like best buy, I would rather go to circut city. If this is happening to you then it is more the likely happening to other people too, so it would make since that people are complaining about it. You would think they would do something to fix it. What about the people like me who dont think about checking it out until after the recipet is lost, where are all their extra points? Doesnt look like best buy is worried about it:(

I love Best Buy and their rewards program. We have never had any problems at all and I love their replacement extended warranty things.

I've never gotten anything either from it. Tried asking about it in the store and of course they say they can't even help you there-you have to call a special number. Blah!
