I'm sitting here patiently waiting for my Rotty to give birth to her first litter of pups. I swear to god its like waiting for another grandchild to arrive.
My husband told me that I need to just chill out...LOL, but, I'm excited! :p

Has anyone else here gone thru this? How long does labor last?
I have my camera sitting here waiting with me. I'm hoping to get pics of the actual births.

good luck, im not sure how long it takes. My dad would know he would breed our cocker spaniels when i was real little. it can takes hours atleast i seen that on animal planet

The puppies are finally here! We had 10 all together but 4 were still born. We have 3 males and 3 females doing just fine with their mama now.
Boy did she have them fast! Started delivering at 5:00 this evening and had the last one at 7:45 :D

Thanks for bringing back a good memory for me. I remember my Tinker Belle giving birth one Sunday afternoon. She'd pant, I'd holler. It didn't take her long to have her babies either. Between her and me, we just about sent hubby over the edge.

She has been gone for years and years. Yet I still miss her.

awwwwwwwwww I wanna bearbutt...poohbutt needs a pal :D Dharma was so cute as a pup, like a lil bear...congrats :D have fun & cuddle while you can :)

(and BTW I'm waiting on baby fish LOL I keep checking...)

:( We lost 2 more pups. Mama layed on one and the other was real small, she kept pushing it away as if she knew it wasnt going to make it.
Down to only 4 out of 10... I hope these poor little things make it. :(
