WOW!!! I am so happy to hear that!! My son is autistic, so as horrible as it sounds, when he cussed, we praised him (big mistake)! We were just so happy to hear him talk!! We no longer do this, he is talking much more though. Congrats to Dallas on his huge accomplishment!

No I haven't not put my son on either yet, but I believe you told me the other night about the shots (on yahoo messenger). Our son has come so far since starting school and having an individualized plan. His therapists and teachers have been terrific with him. So we haven't tried anything new lately hoping that things in school will just keep getting better and better. I hate to do anything to disrupt his routine right now. With my son, disrupting his routine always sets him back a few steps. So we don't dare......

I am so glad he is doing good!!!! I cant wait until dallas gets to that point( i know he will some day! even if he is 50 yrs old!!) I totally understand about setting him back dallas is same way but we cant set him back much( as horriable as that sounds he is very very low function) so were very hopeful.

I am SO happy for you! And Dallas too! That is so wonderful.
When my brother took speech therapy to teach him how to speak, well... I dread to say what phrase the large black speech therapist had him use!
The good news is that YOUR son SPEAKS! YAY!

Ya Dallas! WTG! Congratualtions! I know how you are one proud momma Catrina! :D Maybe some time for Nathan.... btw...I was reading his "diet" list the other day, WOW what a list....it seems there are more things he can't have than he can. I know how that goes as well, Nathan was on the ketogenic diet for awhile----anyway, have you ever heard of exceptional parent magazine? They have great articles about kids with all kinds of disabliites..includinh autism. I used to subscribe to it, until it got so expensive. It's on-line now! Yeah! Check it out! www.exceptionalparentmagazine.com (if the link doesn't work, just do a search for exceptional parent, you'll find it!)
