I usually let the girls keep their saftey sissors in their desk, being that they barely cut paper, I really didnt give it a second thought. Well those dang things are now in the trash! Emily cut of half her georous hair!!its all on the one side :( her hair was sooooooooo pretty!!!! My question is what should I do?? Should I get the rest chopped off to it is right in th front about to her ear. I can still get it up in a pony tail or 2 barettes. should I just let it grow back in, its about 6 inches :*(
HELP!!

awwww...i'm so sorry.....I've been there, done that....my suggestion...if it's that obvious...I would get it cut...and let it grow back out. AND don't stress about it....Your a good mommy...just sometimes, we forget things...and sometimes....It just happens!!!

I would have it cut so it's evened out .. my Emily cut her own bangs .. thank God it really isn't that noticeable .. lol.
Good luck!
you could just cut the other side and not the back, just even it out and stager it, like long layers so that the back is the same length, that way you are not losing as much...if you can't do it they will probably not charge you much at a salon.

I think I would cut it so it was all one length. I remember when my DD cut her hair  Her bangs were cut to her scalp! LOL It grows back pretty quickly and believe it or not, you'll laugh about it down the road. It happens to the best of mommies! Those kids are quick! :p

I think most kids do this at one time or another when they're small. Both of mine did. Jason just grabbed a hunk and chopped it off...Ash was more artistic....she lifted up pieces of hair all over her head and cut them. Mom said she walked through the living room and had hair falling down nearly to her knees. She had waist length hair and we had to cut a lot of it to even it out.
A future hint....hide your razors now....both my kids tried to shave too.

aw mom don't feel bad if its there our kids will find it. you may be able to take her to get it straightened without cutting much off. they have so many different hair styles out there nowadays. good luck and dont feel bad. one thing about it is it will grow back.

I agree that you should cut it to even it out. Remember it's just hair and it will grow back. :)

Just even it out..make sure not to get a mullit LOL. My best freinds daughter just cut her own bangs, they're about 1/4 inch long lol
luckily, hair grows back.If you don't want to cut it as short as she did,let it grow out some, just hide it with barretts etc, then trim it.

I think a Dora style bob would look cute on her.

I feel your pain. Lena's beautiful hair is gone, and the really bad part is that I did it.

Lol theyre so cute! I would layer it, it would probably look cute, just some long layers to even it out so you still have the length in the back. I never cut my own hair, I cut my kitties whiskers. Poor thing walked around crooked for 2 weeks!

Been there DONE that. I cried........my little girl was around 2 when she scalped herself with those safety scissors. Don't cut paper, but WILL cut hair. All of one side of her hair was to the scalp back to her ear. It took forever to grow out. I took her and had all of it cut in light layers, but the bangs were extremely short.
