i was at a boy scout meeting last night...
we were discussing fundraising ideas.
tossing around ideas of a car wash and maybe selling candles....

the treasurer looks at me and goes "how about a den mom wet tshirt contest?"

me and the other mom were AGAST to say the least!
doesnt that idiot know i can get him kicked out of the scouts for that remark? who else is at the meeting??? oh you guessed it... the cubmaster...

i hate men like this... i really do...
im not a slut... im a mom
im married 13 years...

im ready to illegally steralize him in the room and the only thing that comes out of my mouth is...
"no we should have a den father back waxing contest. the winner is the one that doesnt shout in pain"

It was an inappropriate comment made in front of a group of boy scouts, not a group of adults. I think someone needs to remind him that he is setting a poor example of what it is to be a man in front of a group of boys. It says something about how he views women.

I think he needs his tush kicked.

I always assumed men had static sounds and some kid singing off key playing on a loop in their heads. Haven't you noticed that you have to first get their attention before you ask them something? It's because of the noise. lol
Take them with a grain of salt. If they weren't here, who would get stuff off the tall shelves? ;)

My boys are active with Boy Scouts (1 is an Eagle Scout - I'm a very proud Mom! Can you tell!)

I also was a Den Leader Assistant for several years,
many times functioning as the Den Leader.

That was a bad joke and not appropriate either.

I do believe at your next meeting, this individual needs to be in a
little Scouting skit.....

Ask for an assistant to help with this skit...of course, it would be the 'joke teller.' The game is called "Switch-a-Roo." He has to pretend he is a kangaroo. (And jumps like a jack rabbit.)
Then he has to become a car (and make car noises.)
Then he has to get on all 4s and become a donkey (Making donkey noises like a donkey(/ jack axe that he actually is )).
Then continuing on all 4 he has to become a table. Place a full glass of water on his back (the table.) Just let him stay there a while....or get all wet!

to clarify this was a meeting for the den leaders and other comittee leaders.. no kids were there!

yes it could have been a joke gone awry...
but have men totally lost respect for women??? i mean comon..

what makes me wonder.. is that the cubmaster was there.... i wonder if hes gonna have a talk with the treasurer..(the man who made the off comment)

i was really PO'd... now im frustrated.. knowing that his kids go to school with mine..

i know i should take it with a grain of salt... but it was an innappropriat e comment... at least if he said he was sorry i could forgive and move on..

i dont want to be a bad guy either... i dont wanna complain... the cubmaster should really know better!

I would have turned it on him by staring him straight in the eye without cracking a smile and saying loud enough for everyone in the room to hear " Please explain to the our children why you think a den mom wet T-shirt contest would be a appropriate fund raiser for the boy scouts. I wouldn't have took my eye's off his or cracked a grin either until he he finished stumbling over his own stupidity in one form or another.

I can remember teachers doing students that way for cutting up in class and that always put a damper on whatever nonsense was going on in class.
