If you write a question to the seller does it automatically get posted on the page? If so we could all e-mail the seller telling everyone that these are supposed to be free.

I think it only gets posted to the page if the seller chooses to allow it to be posted there. :(

I did, however, send this message to them in the 'ask the seller a question' feature:

Does it bother you that you're exploiting support for our troops overseas?? These bracelets are given FREE from 800GoGuard.com so that people can show their support for our soldiers. They're not given FREE so that people like you can turn around and make a few bucks off of them by selling them to people who don't know that they can get them for FREE.

Don't worry, I've already emailed your bidder to let them know where they can get theirs for FREE.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

I've just received the following email from the bidder:

Thanks. You are one of 6 now who has told me. I can't retract my bid because it doesn't fit the "retraction" requirements. The chick has to cancel my bid from her end and she just doesn't understand that. I've had to keep my kewl and finally have gotten fed up with her lack of reading ability and told her screw it.. and that I'll pay for it just to keep from more of a headache. $2.50 and I'll put it on a credit card too so she won't get the full $2.50..but still. 6 e-mails back and forth about this and she's still being retarded. I don't think its right for peoplel to take "free" things and try to sell them for profit, especially things for supporting the troops. She is exploiting my love for my boyfriend. I want to show him support and thought this was an awesome thing, but if I had known it was free I would have not bid on it. Also she justifies selling it because the metal bracelets are on back order and won't be here until end of may.
But yeah. Thank you!

I don't blame you 1 bit for being upset but if that seller notifies ebay of what you did then you can get kicked off of ebay-just so you know.

Thanks for letting me know, eb. From the sounds of it, the seller doesn't know her head from her butt. If she'd like to notify eBay, that's cool. I can sell under my DH's name. lol ;)

Well... I may need to put my flame retardant panties on but I see ALOT of ppl selling ALOT of things on this board that they received FREE in the mail. So I guess I dont understand the dif between if one of you were selling something you got for free in here or her selling something she got for free there. I do however have a problem with stupid stuff Ive seen listed on their lately like ppl bidding on someone else's "opinion", or "piece of mind", or "air guitars", etc....lol

But thats just my opinion and thats all I can afford at the moment...lol ;)

I know this is off topic but I've also noticed people who ask for certain things in those monthly swaps and then they try and sell it in the for sale/trade forum. I don't understand why they ask for certain things just to turn around and put it up for sale.

You know they say that one mans trash is another mans treasure but this is taking it TOO far. Then again if there wasnt some idiot out there waiting to buy it, they wouldnt be in bussiness

I don't have a problem with people trying to sell things that they got for free. I do feel it was wrong for this particular item, however, since it involves support for our troops. It's just like Parkay, who I see are now giving away Red Dress Pins (Women & Heart Disease) with purchase of their product when they were being given away FREE from American Heart (I think...). When they are a product for a cause, it's wrong.

I typically don't care if people sell free stuff, because someone is always dumb enough to buy it, but something like this a LOT of people wouldn't know you could get it for free so I find this wrong. Especially since its about supporting the troops. Now if you buy samples online you know darn well those are free, but I had never heard of this, thanks for posting the link to get one! I hope that seller grows some morals and pulls the auction, doubtful however. Just take pleasure in the fact that after ebay and paypal fees they won't make much money, probably just shipping.

I personally think there is alot more repulsive things for sale than this. I mean people selling body parts for advertisment, their organs, and so many more I could mention. I am not saying it is right, I personally think it is ridiculous what she (the seller) is doing. Last night on the news there was a bit about these idiots taking "Donations" and they want $50,000 or they are going to eat the pet rabbit named Toby. There are so many weirdos in this world....I hope the seller is a bit embarrased after all this.

I saw that toby the rabbit thing too, I was horrified by it until I checked out snopes. If you check out snopes.com it is a hoax I guess, they put a disclaimer in tiny tiny print on the site about it, and they can't accept paypal on the site. The organs thing is just so wrong also, the stupid things people do.
