the owner of the resturant I work at got rid of all the bussers today because he wants the servers to clean thier own tables I say goodluck with that ! they weren't even tipping me out which they should have been doing all along I doubt I can collect unemployment I think you have to have your job for at least a year well I plan on going up to michigan for a visit in a couple weeks it's just one thing after another I don't know if I can deal with it anymore

You may be able to get unemployment. What they do is add up the total number of weeks you have worked in the past 12 months. At least that is what they do here in Ohio.

(((rosepetal85))) I'm sorry that happened. You may be able to collect unemployment. In Arkansas, they just add up the amount of earnings you recieved the last three quarters reported (it doesn't have to be that company) and figure up your unemployment amount. As long as the company you were working for doesn't fight it, you should be able to receive it. I'm not sure what state you are in but you might find some state specific info here:

Sorry about your job. Sounds like that trip you're planning might just be the break you need right now. Good luck.

Maybe it's a good thing. This job ends but another one is out there waiting on you. And those servers will rebel soon enough. It cuts into their time wooing their customers and providing service.
Just think of it as an opportunity to find something new to do.

what they do in Michigan is go back 18mos. Whatever earnings you had, even from a prior job will go into this benefit year. Give it a try. You may have a shot. What do you have to lose? Good luck. Enjoy your trip.
