few more hours and my ds gets up to go on his first hunting trip. daddy is takin him turkey hunting, he is 7. omg he is so excited. dh bought him a turkey call and his face makeup. mommy bought a camera so dh could take me pictures. i cant wait till he gets home to tell me his big stories. hope the rain stops so they can enjoy it. my little guy is growing up on me way to fast. :(

A dear friends hubby goes out and shoots wild turkeys on their own property. Good eating, no chemicals or preservatives.

dh says the trip was great. its pretty cold but they seen 5 turkeys, but the legal one wasnt in gun range. so they are going back this evening. ds came home with his face all painted up and going hundred miles a minute. should have seen him moving his head like the turkey did. was so cute. he said mom my nerves couldnt take it i wanted to shoot but dad wouldnt let me.LOL dh said he was very quiet and paid very good attention. matter of fact he seen the first turkey before his dad did. dh said he wispered dad dad theres a turkey. needless to say he said mom im going this evening and if i dont get a shot im goin back in the morning. LOL wish you all could have seen the excitement on his face while telling the stories. :D :D so wish him luck for this evening.

Definitely wish your son good luck. Great that your hubby is teaching him young and properly...turkey call but no gun yet. Dad did that with my brother and me. And we did skeet shooting for a few years learning aim, distance, calculations.

thanks.................dh has had troy out target practicing for awhile now. hes actually pretty good. if he gets a good shot at the turkey dh is gonna let him shoot(but they are not around other hunters, on fil property) but dh is in charge of the gun till needed. they are back out again for there evening hunt.lol
