OK - I admit it ... I'm a stickler when it comes to perfection!! :D

Anyway, DD's preschool is having Easter pictures done today. DD's there in her Easter dress and dress shoes. Since it was 30 degrees outside this morning and her dress is sleeveless, we got her dressed @ school.

First whine: Her dress is Shantung silk, so please pray she doesn't drop anything on it!

Second whine: We took up 30 minutes this morning to curl her hair. Since it's stick straight, we used tons of hairspray. Some of the curls were already softening out by the time we got to school @ 8:20. I don't think they're taking pics until 10, so hopefully she'll still have some of them left.

Third whine: Pray she smiles! These are very expensive so I'd hate to have some pouting pics. ;)

Fourth whine: Tell me to stop worrying so much; she's only 3, not 13 so I shouldn't expect so much out of these! LOL! :D

**Note as to why I want this to turn out - these are the first "formal" pics she's had done ... ever. They're going to have a courtyard scene with flowers, a fountain, and baby bunnies hopping around**

Whoops - forgot to add...she DOES have play clothes to change into as soon as pics are done! She just has to keep the dress clean for about an hour! When I left, they were about to go to their classes for a movie, so we'll see!

your just a proud mommy...I do my dd hair like that in long curls and pray they are there when picture time comes....put gel on her hair before you curl it will hold it better then just hairspray. dd hair is past her bottom so it is heavy and this is what i have to do......and they probably gave them something really sloppy for breakfast like syrup....i alway pray when picture day comes they have something not so gommy
but I am sure that you will be proud of the pictures anyway hoping for the best for you.

We did after 4 visits end up with some good ones but boy it was a struggle!! LOL Keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well. Please share your pics when you get them.

Also do you have a picture of her dress or where you bought it? Sounds gorgeous.

Actually - I found it @ WalMart for about $14. It's by "George" and it's sleeveless with wide straps. Pink with a sheer butterfly at the waist and a large satin ribbon that ties in the back.

In Cailyn's size, this was the only color they had, but for infants/toddlers, I saw a pink, purple, and peach. I looked on their website, but they didn't have any dresses. I'll post the pics in a few weeks after they come back.

I managed Sears Portrait Studios for 9 yrs and i tell you some of the most memorable pics i collected were kids being uncooperative.Including my own kids.

Thats just how they are at that certain age and its "what a way to remember them" pic huh?
Those of Chloe are just adorable :)
I love those shots!

First rule of thumb for children, wash and wear. If it is silk, or cant be popped into the washer, it is a no no. Walmart has a great deal of synthetic wash and wear beautiful Easter dresses right about now, might want to try doing pictures at home with several disposable camera if she does not enjoy having her picture professional taken, or go to the Walmart pictuer studio and have them done with you there where she would proabily feel more comfortable. I hope that they turn out ok, maybe you can post them online?

You're like me . . . . 'worry wart' Please don't take offense.

Next time, is there any way that you can be at the school when the pics are getting taken? I was like that my kids kindergarten year, I wanted to be there to make sure that the hair was just so . . . .not sticking up. So now that my kids are in 2nd grade, I've been volunteering on picture day since they were in K. This year during spring pics, I actually got a coupon for a free packet of pics since I helped. That was the first time that was offered to any of the volunteers. I'm a happy camper.

Hope her pics turned out for ya.
