This is a good article but it has lots of blatant untruths in it.

Of course St. Patrick was a Christian but at that time THE church was the Roman Catholic church. No other Christian churches existed.

Click on the video and watch a story about him. When he went back to his home after escaping he became a priest in the Catholic church. He was consecrated a bishop at the age of 43. So he was a bishop in the Catholic church before he went back to Ireland.

He ordained many priests, divided the country into dioceses, held Church councils, founded several monasteries and continually urged his people to greater holiness in Christ.
