I've seen them all over the place in town. Sears, Best Buy, Target and many others.
What is so great about them? Anyone know, or own one? Are they worth the $500.
I know if one has to finance one, don't. But for $500 a pop. Just wondering.

Here is a link to Dyson homepage. It will explain on there why they are differnet from other vaccums. I believe there are a couple of women on the board that has one and they love them. I have looked at feedback on the vacuum in the past and it always gets good feedback. I want to get one when I can.

I LOVE mine!
Got it at Costco, so was about $450 plus a lot of attachments.
It has great suction, and emptying the dirt is Super Easy!!
It took a little while to figure out how to open out the hose, to do the stairs, but it is very nice that all the main attachments are right there, it is Light, portable, and yes, colorful!

I want one SO BAD! But it's really hard to justify spending $500 on one.... Ebay has a bunch, just have to find a seller you think you can trust. I'll keep looking.

Thanks. Not only do we have pets, a long haired cat and short haired dog, but the ladies have alergies and thought a dyson would help cut down on irritants.

I have the yellow one and it does get a lot of dog hair and all. It is easy to empty and you see all that crap that was on your carpets. The only thing I dont like about it is if there is something on the floor like a leaf or dog food the vaccuum pushes it you have to lean back on the handle so that it lifts a little and then it picks it up. You can try one out first at Sears or where ever for the 60-90 days and you can get an idea if you like it or not.

Home Depot has one for $199.
Where do you live? I'll drive there to get one that cheap! I looked at their site and they have 2 different ones. The cheaper of the two was still $399.

I have heard so many great things about them, and I really want one! But we don't really have carpet anymore (except upstairs in one room), so I can't justify spending that much :o

We just got 2 of them in at our store that were displays at another store. I've tried them in the store and want one, but hubby said I have to sale them and maybe if we get one in the next load I can have it. The price tag that came on the 2 we have was over $600.00 a piece. I think my hubby is asking $350.00 each for these, so if you can get them for the $199 you better jump on it!

DD has reactive airway - I need a good vaccuum. Even with a better vaccuum, I would probably still have to vaccuum every day, but hope to improve the air quality in our home.
Does anyone know if Dyson reduces Allergens? I know it does in general just by it's nature -

They're supposed to be very good for allergies.
They come with a lifetime hepa filter.
We just got the purple animal, and love it.
Here's where you can find more information:

The purple animal is the kind we have for sale. I was wrong though about the 350.00, hubby said it was 300.00 for each of them yesterday when I was at the store. Your post is making me want one so bad, I think I might just accidently take one home with me tonight. ;)
