My DH will be getting home about 9am that morning and then heading back out to work at 10:45pm that night, so I doubt we get to do anything special. :(

Oh, I also have a doctors appointment at 10am. lol

Maybe we can go out to dinner this weekend though. Of course it would be nice if it could be just the two of us but that won't happen, so it will be the five of us. LOL I told him that I wanted to go out tomorrow and pick up something for him and the kids. Not sure what he's going to get me.

So.. what are your plans?

Getting ready to head to the kitchen. Need to make 2 strawberry cakes with chocolate frosting. One will be in an Angel food pan and then chocolate drizzled glaze on it. The other will be a 3 layer cake with chocolate frosting between the layers and on top with powdered sugar thru the sifter on top. Have to deliver the 3 layer one to my grandkidlettes in town in the morning. We will eat the bundt one here tomorrow. But for actual Valentine's day, just another Monday here with the kidlettes being back in school and Mur going back to Ft. Bragg.

Just realized I goofed. Bought red devil cake mix, not strawberry. Guess I need glasses :)

Come on over to see me. Mur goes back to Ft. Bragg so since we don't have our fellas with us, we can celebrate with cake and a drink or two. Maybe Kevin will call you :)

I'm hoping he'll call soon. I got an email yesterday saying he had gone to call but the phone center was closed.

We have started celebrating this weekend, a little bit early.
Enjoying heart shaped cookies today.

We have the usual work for the adults, & school for the teens on Monday.

Have allready purchased red, heart mylar balloons at the $ store
for gifts for the neighbors.
I will put candy, or fruit (for the diabetic neighbor) with a jar candle
with the red heart balloons on their mailboxes
the night before to surprise everybody.
Looks gorgeous & festive going down the street
for Valentine's Day.

Tasha, I have a doctor's appoint for 8:30 AM
for my annual gyne appoint.
LOL!
What a way to start Valentine's Day!

Haven't figured-out what we'll have for dinner on VD yet.
Something special.

Anybody make a special dessert?
I don't know yet...
but I have made that red velvet cake (mix)
into round cake pans,
cherry pie filling,
and Cool Whip!
Looks soooo pretty and is very simple.

I was told not to have any plans from 3PM and on tomorrow afternoon. Hubby won't tell me what he has planned, just that I need to go through my closet and pick out something very special to wear. :D :)

Our local radio station was holding a sweetheart contest. I just received an email saying that I WON! So DH and I will be going to The Pasta House about an hour away and eating for free. LOL.

First of all...

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY (IN ADVANCE OR BELATED DEPENDING ON WHEN YOU READ THIS...LOL) ;)

Me and Hubby kinda celebrated early, last night (2-11) we went to Damon's for dinner, my treat to him since I finally have (knock on wood) kept a dang good job for more than a month! LMAO! Then we went "over the mountain" to Cherokee, NC, and stayed at a nice hotel...went to the Casino (and lost our behinds) and had a nice lunch at a local Chinese restaurant. It was cheap and probably the best Chinese I've ever had- and trust me I'm VERY picky about that type of food. :D :p

Since Hubby hasn't found a steady job yet, the economy sucks @$$ here, I've been joking with him that I don't expect anything fancy on Monday, because I know how bad we need the money- but he insists that he has a "plan". :D ;) So we'll see, but I'm just lucky I have him and that's enough for me. :)

We are also planning on doing something "special" once we get our Income Tax Refund. So no biggie...I'll get something real nice eventually. LOL! :D :p
