dh screwed up the PW derby car..
the wheels are too far apart...
up most of the night trying to fix... couldnt.... had to build new ones...
kids sad.. but ok.... they understand....
my eyes are twitching i need sleep.... no sleep for the wicked to day... must get new decalls.. paint etc....

lol. Our PW derby is in March. Next time have dh just let your boy do it.

they all worked together... i cant let a 6 year old use a power tool... :( :eek: by himself....
dh measured wrong for the wheel base.... :(
i cant take my kids out of school to have them build new ones.. the race is friday... :( :mad: :eek:
dh tried to fix the existing ones and by drilling new holes they shattered...
we dont exactly have access to power tools either.... everything is done with borrowed tools...
this is those of us live in the city in apartments.... :(

I'm sorry if you thought I was being mean... that was not my intention. I was just making a comment about the other poster since they put just child. :)

its okay im just really really upset...jut need to whine...
i feel bad... really bad for my sons... dh feels worse than me...
it sucks when you screw up something for your kids... :( :(
the kids designed it and everything...
i just really needed to whine... and cry a bit...

It's a learning experience for both parents & kids.
Safety w/ knives and tools is so important...
one year our Cub Scout Master seemed to be limping
during the PW Derby....
His wife finally let the cat out of the bag -
He'd dropped his sharp knive while helping w/ the car
with their son....the knife dropped down and
fell down hitting his foot and having to get stitches!
We still laugh over this one.
Hope the race goes well for your son!
