I have a seperate reference page. I send/take both at the same time. I know some people put "References Available Upon Request" on theirs, but I prefer to go ahead and give them the page.

Its not reccommended. Employers know that you are going to list only people that will give you a good reference. The statement "References available on request" serves no useful purpose and should not be included. However you should have the information ready if asked.




I took the above information from a resume class my DH was just given.

When I was in business school we were told to put "references available upon request" at the bottom of the resume. That was back in 98 so maybe they do things differently now.

Thanks for the help. I am getting a divorce so looking for a job since I was going to school and had to quit. I havent done a resume in so long.
