Hi all....I am in charge of planning a 1950's themed party for a group of 22 Kindergartners and I am lost. Any ideas would be great or any company's like Oriental trading that actual sell 1950's stuff. OT only does 1960's. I need food ideas and music suggestions. Thank you for any ideas

poodle skirts, rootbeer floats, elvis records, that is all I know and I ONLY know this from listening to my mom about the good old days..lol..oh and the little scraves tied around their necks,

I have also seen the poodles to iron on skirts at wal-mart in the craft department

1950's Food, beliefs, clothing 1. The food: The Betty Crocker cookbook was the model for most family receipes. There were lots of casserole receipes in the Betty Crocker cookbook.. Pot roast, and fried chicken with mashed potatoes were probably among the most prominent of family meals.....And anything BBQ'd. Popular on most weekly cafeteria school meals were: tamale pie, dog in a blanket. Popular desserts: jello, tappioca pudding, and bananna and vanilla wafer pudding. Popular at the drug store fountain: bananna splits.

Also, here's a page with more ideas...
