I have been with MyPoints since their inception and they used to be GREAT about crediting purchase points; it would just happen in a timely fashion as it should. But for the past few years I have had nothing but trouble getting those purchase points posted to my account. I even stopped shopping through them for awhile because it was just not worth the hassle.

Imagine my surprise this AM when I logged into MyPoints and points from a purchase three weeks ago were already in my account! THIS has not happened in ages but I am so glad that it did!

I always complain about all the hassles I have with online credits, GC's, etc. BUT IT IS A BREATHE OF FRESH AIR to have something work properly for a change.

THANKS, MyPoints!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!! :D

THANKS, Baroque! :D

I am wondering if anyone else has had any positive experiences with point posting with purchases at MyPoints as of late? I am tempted to go back and shop with them on a continual basis but am concerned that this is just good luck, my postitive experience, that is. Anyone?

THANKS!

Lately I've been having problems with mypoints crediting my account for any sign-up offers. I've had to email them about every sign-up I've done since October. They also waited for 6 weeks to credit my account for shopping at barnes and noble. Overall I'm still happy with them, they always send rewards out quickly. Hey, they could be worse, they could be like memostink! ;)

I've never really had difficulties with this program. Back a year or more I had to call them for everything, but since then, I have always gotten credit for the points. Sign ups seem to come late, but they do come. Cash out is always quick and painless - usually recieved with in two weeeks time.

Much to my surprise as well, the points for purchases I made this month are already posted. I just about fainted! I hope this continues :)

I've always gotten my points through them, but they are usually kind of slow. I've shopped at Lancome twice through them, and the first time it took close to two months to get points, but the 2nd time, I got a pop up as soon as I was through shopping saying I would get points the next day. Lo and behold, they were in my account the next day - I couldn't believe it! I don't know if it's still doing that, but I'm going to be buying from there again soon so I'll see. I just made two other purchases this week (Target and Overstock), so we'll see how long they take to credit.

I HOPE MyPoints continues to credit points without a hassle! I will SURELY shop a lot more through them, as I had done in the past. :)

I have always had good luck with them. This past Christmas season they were actually faster than in the past. I actually got $80 in gift cards to shop with from my account for Christmas and once I requested them they were here in about a week.

I made my 1st purchase thru mypoints on 12/16 and as of 2/9 still had not been credited with the points. I contacted them as well as sharper image to ? why I had not been credited for my purchase. I got a puter generated reply that both companies were going to research and got an answer the same day from both of them that the points would be credited to my account on 2/16, The only problem with mypoints is that they were only going to give me credit for 1/2 my purchase.. had to email mypoints again informing them of their error. I am waiting for 2/16 when 4200 pts will be added to my account. Apparently if you make multiple purchases of the same item they only recognize 1 item. This happened to me with greenpoints as well, but that took 4 months to straighten out.

MyPoints is notorious for not crediting for purchases. I have had to email them for just about every purchase i have ever made through them. That's why I usually go through Quick Rewards or Creations Rewards whenever possible. They used to be pretty good about reward the FreeBiz points, but lately I have to email them about those too. It's a pain, but the FreeBiz are free, and sometimes I get a good magazine for free, so I still do them!

Just got this email from them. I don't even know what I have coming, maybe I'll get a nice surprize. :)

Dear Valerie,

MyPoints recently became aware of an intermittent system error that prevented select Point awards from properly posting to members' accounts. The error has since been fixed. If one of your previous transactions was impacted by the error, you'll notice an increase in your Point balance within the next few days. You'll be able to identify these late-posting Points by their posting date of 2/14/05.

We sincerely apologize for this error and for awarding your purchase Points outside of the time frame we promised. If you have any questions or comments, please contact [email protected] and one of our Member Care representatives will promptly assist you.

Thank your for your patience and your continued participation in the MyPoints Program.

Sincerely,
MyPoints Member Care Team

I got that email too, i think its just saying that there was a glitch in their system that wouldnt credit points in a timely manner, and they've since fixed it.
