If you do, could you weigh 12 pennies individually for me? There doesn't have to be anything special about the pennies...just some from your purse or money bottle.

This is for Pickle's Science project...she made a Stickyometer.

We were going to do this out at my parents house this weekend but I just learned they aren't going to be home afterall and it's too late to start another project.

Thank you.

According to my scale each penny is 0 grams.
If the people at your post office is nice see if there scales have grams on them and get them to weigh them for you.

Thank you for trying!

I found, online, that 50 pennies weigh approx. 133.3 grams so doing the math I figured that the average weight of a penny is 2.6 grams.

We'll just take it from there...

Thanks again

1. 2 grams
2. 2 grams
3. 2 grams
4. 2 grams
5. 2 grams
6. 2 grams
7. 2 grams
8. 2 grams
9. 2 grams
10. 2 grams
11. 2 grams
12. 2 grams

All twelve together on the scale: 32 grams! So, you're right, each penny is about 2.6 grams. :)
