So, I figured someone here might be able to answer this.

Aside from the owner's manual (which was NO help, unless I didn't look in the correct place?)
is there any way to figure out what type of CD player we have in our truck?
(01 dodge dakota slt quad cab)

Are you looking for the model number? The model # should be on the face. Other than that, I would normally point you to the owners manual, but you've done that lol

Call or go to a Dodge dealer and see if they can help you.

I'd say call the local Dodge dealer with the VIN and see if they can tell ya...short of that...take it in to have one of the guys look at it.
