I have a niece who has 1 child. Her husband takes the 4 year old to the library one night a week to give the mom a couple of hours to herself. She is a SAHM. The past 2 weeks her dh has had to bathe and put on fresh clothes, the whole bit before he can go. Before this he would go in his work clothes.
She called me today. She wasn't really laughing but was trying to. She asked me what I thought. I told her to be dressed and ready to go with them the next time. What do yall think?

I think he just wants to be clean and feeling fresh when he goes the library! If she is suspicious that he is "sprucing" up before his weekly visits, why doesn't she just ask him why he is all of a sudden taking the time to shower and change before he takes the little one with him? If the man was going to cheat, I can hardly imagine he would do so with his little 4 year old in tow and at the town library...lol!

This is a man who showed up at his sister's after rehearsal party the night before the wedding in OVERALLS. I don't know if he is cheating but I think someone there has caught his eye. I mean really? It takes an act of congress to get him to clean up so I say the act is present.

Mom should just clean up nice once a week and take herself out for a few hours and leave dad at home with the child.

I agree! Since she's a stay at home mom it sounds like she needs to get out of the house for a while. That doesn't mean she has to go sit in a bar like some men do but there is nothing wrong with going to see a movie with a friend or something like that.

The best thing she can do, is talk to her husband.

Yeah, maybe even take herself to a nice sit down resturant and then go see a movie and just have a fun night out.

Is she sure that he takes their daughter to the library? I would worry. Doesn't sound right.

I don't think he's cheating....I'm sure the 4-year old would tell Mommy.

She could ask one of her friends/family to follow him when he left the house....and take a camera or video camera (just in case).

he's probably just cleaning up because there are some cute chics at the library and he doens't want to look like a scrounge.

Not really. I have a very good friend who's husband was running around on her. He would take the DD, who was also about 4 or 5 at the time, on the snowmobile, and the daughter never had a clue it wasn't right. She talked about going to Nikki's house, but they have a friend with a daughter named Nikki. She never know until the other woman called her and told her.

My dad cheated on my mom when I was around 4 or 5 and he always took us with him to the lady's house-we never told our mom because we had no clue what was going on either.

I think there is probably just a cute girl at the library that he doesn't want to like like a scrounge around also. But, there is something wrong if he is trying to impress another woman. I would worry.
