That was interesting history.
It is nice to see that even though the forefathers of this nation were extreme Christians that they had the forsight to enable freedom of religion for all peoples.

And I'm sure they would be shocked to see how today we can't wish each other a Merry Christmas without fearing we aren't PC. LOL

Yes it is extremely stupid. Freedom of religion does not mean denying religion, it means expressing all religions as long as that expression does not infringe on others' rights. As long as other religions are allowed to express themselves and be respected, there is no reason why Christianity should not be able to as well.
Its a good thing that I could care less about being PC :)

LOL, go out and wish someone a Merry Christmas. Go ahead and make them uncomfortable. Then smile at them or let them cut in line in front of you at the store.

HAHA thats funny.
See I really dont understand what the big deal is. I wish someone a Merry Christmas, and if they arent Christian, they just say back Happy Holidays, or Happy Hannakuh or even Merry Christmas. No one really makes that big a deal about it here. Maybe bc south Florida is so diverse? My office even has a Christmas tree in it (right next to the Manorah). Happy Kwanza anyone?
Well, anyways, someone just walked past me with a plate of home made chocolate chip holiday cookies.... I shall return in a moment....
;)

Yes, That is what i don't understand. Some want to combine all the holidays thinking this will make everyone comfortable. I just dilutes everyones different holidays and makes them all look alike or silly, like someone said they saw the Easter Bunny in the manger. It's so much more fun when we keep them different so we can get the full meaning of each one and understand them better.
