Now nomally I keep my big everloving month shut by I'm am sooo PO at the Post Office I could spit!
I sent out 12 packages and 50 letters (most were christmas cards) in November.
Out of 12 packages 7 were received damaged in some way. Out of 50 I got 25 back in little baggies telling me they were sorry...etc

Now why the heck am I paying the post office so much money for them to mishandle my items is beyond me.

Now they want to raise the postal rates yet again. So I was looking up what a trade would cost to send and in the upper corner they have the new postal rate cal. on the site. Now I knew that they had asked for a rate increase but didn't know that they had gotten it. So I went to read the postal news at the site and this is what I found (url will be at the end)
This is from a letter to the editor dated on 12/16/04 intitled "Setting the Record Straight"

"I think it is important to touch on rates first, since rates affect every American. The Postal Service is not increasing its rates this year. The Postal Service is not increasing its rates next year. And, the Postal Service didn’t increase its rates last year. The Postmaster General has pledged to the American people that rates won’t change until 2006."
"How many other businesses can make the claim of no price increases for more than three years? And what about our customers who have had the peace of mind of stable rates? "

WHAT?!?! No postal increase until 2006 my foot! Maybe I'm wrong but didn't they just change the rate in 2003? Plus now they have asked for another rate change and the last time I checked it was 2006 or anywhere near it.

I think they should work on making sure your mail is delivered in the same condition it is handed to them in before asking me for more of my hard earned money.
