I would love to go to the mall and just look and be in the crowd. I don't like this time of year, I find it so stressful and sad. But now that I have all my shopping done, and did most of it on line, I would like to go to the Galleria and look at the pretty decorations and just see what is there. Maybe it will help me get into the spirit of things and I do love to watch the kids go talk to Santa. But the problem. I can't walk well enough to go it alone so have to have dh push me in a wheel chair. On many occassions this is no problem but in a crowd it is. People dart in front of us or just stop in their tracts. It is hard for dh not to run over people and sometimes I wonder if he gets frustrated and doesn't care. But it is me who is a nervous wreck trying to pull on the brake to stop from getting someone's heels. What should I do, carry a little bicycle horn and go?  and just say sorry HE did it when we run into someone. I would like to say "Yes he can drive a wheelchair but you have legs and can't see where not to walk!"

Personally I would get either an airhorn or a rape whistle & carry it with you.
Either that or maybe put some Ginsu knives on your footrests, remember Married With Children & the grocery cart of death? :)

Most malls open before the actual stores do by at least 30 minutes. So get there at least 30 minutes before the stores open and you can leisurely wander the Mall without the crowds.
