my godfather is having brain surgery at noon.

Hey everyone,
I cant believe this. My mom called last last night and informed me that my Godfather is having brain surgery at noon today. After he recovers from that hey goes through radiation. He has a tumor the size of a golf ball . From what I understand it will affect his ability to talk etc.. He will have to relearn everything. He still will have his mind.

They fulfill the true meaning of being godparents. They lived one street over from me my entire life until I moved out. For my birthday (the last one I had with my father) my dad was so sick he couldnt go so my godparents took us to the country club for lunch. Anytime I needed them they have been there. When I broke my ankle it was wilson who went with me to the doctor because my dh was working and my parents were too.

I cant tell you what all they have done for me. They got in my behind whenever I needed it and treated me like I was theirs.

I love him dearly and I am just so overwhelmed. Just pray for their family.

I hope all is well when you get this.

He will snap back. My father in law had brain surgery 5 years ago. He is fine, now. He lost his memory for about a year, but now is just a little loopy at times. But a little loopy is better than no father in law.

I am going through this right now with my grandpa. He had surgery two weeks ago to remove a baseball size tumor. He started radiation today. He is very confused and has short term memory loss. I can't belive it eather - it is so hard to see him this way. Please feel free to e-mail me if you need to just "talk". I will keep your Godfather in my prayers, please add my grandpa to yours.
