Well this is the forth night I haven't been able to stay asleep. I have forced myself not to nap thinking that tonight would be the night. But alas, again no sleep last night. I have been up this morning since 4:30 am. I am going to watch the rest of the news and then I am going back to bed. I think I can't sleep because I have so much to get done in the next couple of weeks. But when I am so tired from no sleep I don't accomplish as much as I normally would. So goodnight all. I will be snoozing peacefully I hope while yall are up being normal people. I am giving myself permission to sleep and not try to accomplish anything today. Sometimes that helps my sleep. Yawning.

If you have the willpower, you should force yourself to stay up all night one time. Then you will sleep pretty well the next night......I've done it and it works.

Sorry you can't sleep.

Make a list of what you have to do. I don't know about anyone else, but if my mind won't shut off, I make a list of everything I am thinking about. Most of the time it helps and as I get things done, I check them off the list.

It gives you a reference so you don't have to keep it in your head and as you check it off it gives you a sense of accomplishment.

Can you take a couple of Tylenol,
take a warm shower or tub bath,
have some warm milk or hot cocoa,
get your jammies,
and go to bed?

When you are laying there, make your tongue relax...
not touch the roof of your mouth w/ your tongue.

I'm a firm believer in prayers at bedtime &
counting your blessings too.

I prayed that you'll sleep tonight too, dear!

That is a condition called restless legs. And yes many sleep medications or cold medications have that. I have restless legs too. It is impossible to describe the sensation in your legs. Your term was a good one. LOL

How about it! I had a Dr that at one time perscribed me some sort of med for this. It was something that they perscribe for people with parkinsons... OMG! What a disaster it was for me, It made it about 40 times worse, I ended up having to go to the ER to get something to relax me and counter act that med. Now I take a low dose Valium when I absolutly have to, but they are addicting and my Dr wont give them to me very often. So...in the meantime I just suffer it out.
