Please light a candle tonight in Memory of all the children who have left us too soon.....

Tonight at 6:30pm EST our local chapter will be having the candle light ceremony.
For the 1st time I will be joining this group in lighting a candle for my son, Sgt. Christopher Golby who was killed in Iraq January 8th,2004 along with 8 other Soldiers while on a Medevac Mission.

Thanks

Today is The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting®

In loving memory of all children who are no longer with us, The Compassionate Friends extends an invitation for you, your family, and friends to join tens of thousands of persons around the globe for today’s eighth annual Worldwide Candle Lighting.

Today, hundreds of community candle lighting ceremonies are being held in parks, churches, and other public places by TCF chapters, allied organizations, and other compassionate groups around the world. Thousands more are being held informally in homes. The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting is held every year on the second Sunday in December at 7 p.m., local time, for one hour in each time zone around the globe—a 24-hour wave of light in memory of all children who have died.

A “Remembrance Book” is available from The Compassionate Friends website home page today for all who wish to leave a message in memory of the children gone too soon. Please take a moment to post a tribute.

We do this . . . that their light may always shine!

I'm going to Texas today to be there for my friend who died Friday. I will be lighting candles, most certainly.

Thanks for the post.
