a vent/whine thread, this holiday season, lets have a "I am thankful for" thread. I will start:
I am thankful for:
My family
My warm house
The fact that I get a meals 3 times a day, & am never hungry
My clothing, it may not be haute couture, but it keeps me covered & warm
My health
My spiritual life, it sustains me
My friends
chocolate (hey, gotta have at least one vice :)

That my truck keeps starting(its an 87)
Medicaid covers my medications for my bad back
My internet connection(w/o which i would be bored and lost)

DS#1 was accepted into his first choice for college,
one of the 'Big 10'
and am very proud of him as a freshman.

(But, I still cry after he goes back to school
after being home for the weekend.)

Besides the obvious (God, Family, etc.),
I am thankful for the poster of Harrison Ford in my laundry room, the springlike weather we've had this month, the fact that my husband is being very helpful around the house, and of course having this board to spend all my spare time on. :)

During the Christmas season-If you go through a drive-thru and
someone is behind you in line, Ask how much their total is and if
you can afford it, pay for the person behind you...Tell the cashier
to wish them a Happy Holiday. That will provoke some type of random
act of kindness out of that person....usually. Just a thoughtful thing
and unexpected thing to do.

There are so many things that we could be here all night naming that we are thankful for. One person on here said for her mommy still being there. I recently lost my mommy at age 66. She went on to be with the Lord Nov. 20, 2004. I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm thankful that you still have your mommy too. Take care of her, as I'm sure you are :) May God Bless all of you, now and always. Prayers for all.

I'm thankfull for all the blessing that God has sent my way, and there are many. My two wonderful sons, wonderfull hubby. The snow that is falling as I type. A nice home, plenty to eat. Lots of friends. Most of all the blood that was shead for me. Marry Christmas, everyone
