From the FAQs:
I don't like to give out my Social Security Number over the internet. Can I still participate?
Certainly. Even though our registration and login pages are on a secure server, you can skip the question when you register. However, since all payments are processed through the Harvard Business School's financial office, we must have your SSN before you can receive any payment. If you choose not to provide it when you register, you will have to write it on your receipt at your first experiment. Please see our privacy statement for more information).

Hi I signed up but my video doesn't come on. I don't want to know what's on the video I just would like to know how it looks when it loads. I've watched things before online and it usually says loading/buffering at the bottom. All I get is the windows logo then it goes black and nothing comes on. How is yours loading? Does your go black for long? I've used aol and internet explorer and nothing. Thanks so much

Are you talking about the video they play when you sign up for the site? If so, mine was just sound, it wasn't an actually video. It said a number. And I had to put a number in. I didn't get a video for the actual survey though, just to sign up at the site.

I used to have that same problem with other video surveys, till I updated my viewer. I just found out Windows Media Player has a version 10 now. Which version do you have? If CLER is using that, try updating your viewer and see if that works.
When you try to watch it, can you tell what viewer they are using? Some use RealPlayer and some use Quicktime. It's all so complicated! Good luck, since it stinks to qualify and then not be able to do a survey due to some technical problem.

No video here. I have had no problems here. They always pay. I think they have to ask for your ss b/c it is research for a school. I am almost sure there is a place to call in your ss (if you don't want to give it over the internet). Jen
