As many of you know, MyPublisher.com was offering a 20-20 referral program.

When you referred someone to them who placed an order you received the following:
"MyPublisher would like to extend its thanks for your participation in our 2020 referral program. One of the people that you referred has placed an order.

Because you referred *****and they placed an order, here is a coupon worth $20 off your next order: REF***." :)

Note that there was no expiration date on the coupon. :D

I referred 5 people who placed orders.

When I went to use the coupon, it wouldn't work.

They said, "We regret that effective immediately all coupons for free introductory trial offers of MyPublisher products have been terminated. We have had to take this step because of unauthorized and inappropriate usage of these coupons by people who were not entitled to use them.

If you were legitimately entitled to a MyPublisher coupon that has not expired, you will receive an e-mail from MyPublisher explaining our action and providing you with a new coupon for a discount on MyPublisher products. :) We have e-mail addresses for all legitimate coupon holders who requested coupons from legitimate and authorized marketing sources.

If you received a coupon code from an illegitimate or unauthorized source, like from a friend or from an Internet chat or bulletin board, no replacement code will be provided under any circumstances."

This indicated to me that I would received replacement codes as I legitimately referrered 5 people.

I asked for replacement codes and was told:
"The 20-20 referral program officially ended October 31, 2004. Unfortunately, the program has been cancelled at this time because of inappropriate use by people not entitled to the program. Email notices were sent out to everyone officially enrolled in the program to encourage them to use the coupon before it expired. We apologize if you never received this email. Currently, any coupons associated with the referral program are no longer valid. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding."

I received no emails that told me the program ended.

I therefore asked that even though I earned 5 coupons that they at least send me one.

I was told,
"Unfortunately, we are not offering any coupons at this time. We sincerely apologize for this and thank you for understanding."

I'M SO MAD.

I REALIZE SOME PEOPLE USED CODES THAT THEY WEREN'T ENTITLED TO, BUT THAT IS NOT MY FAULT.

I EARNED 5 COUPONS THAT HAD NO EXPIRATION DATE ON THEM AND NOW THEY ARBITRARILY TELL ME THAT THEY AREN'T ANY GOOD.

THIS IS CRAZY!

I contacted them twice with no results.

I'm complaining to the BBB (http://bbb.org/)
