Well I have made my mind up and I am not going to smoke anymore!!!!!!!!
I haven't had a cig since 4pm today and it is 9:40pm. So 5 hours and 40 minutes......and no urge. I don't know what did it, I keep thinking about the smell, the taste, the feeling and remembering all the times my son asked me to stop because he didn't want me to die. All that together I guess it just did it for me. :D I figured today would be the best day then any. Now every Thanksgiving I will have one more thing to be thankful for! :D Its weird cause I already feel better, so I can't wait for a few days then months then years to go by and I know I will feel sooooo much better, more energy, healthier, and most of all I am not only doing my self a favor but I am making things better for my kids! :)

thank you thank you~~~ :D :D I just went on this website and it calculates hours of life saved, money saved and how many cigs not smoked.....so far according to it,

I will save $1,738.50 a year
I would have smoked 6 cigs by now
and I have added 1 hour onto my life.

Not bad for almost 6 hours.

Off to bed and hopefully I will still feel this strong in morning and from here on out!

Fantastic. I quit May 7, 2001, 4:30 pm. I opened a fresh pack for my morning coffee but didn't light up til 4:30 pm. Took 2 puffs and felt so stupid. Gave them to the trashcan and never had the shakes, crabbies or cravings. I was blessed. I have a feeling you are going to be a success story. I'll be your cherleader. IF you ever need a "talking" to, I'll be here for you :) Good luck hon. You can do it :) :)

Me and my husband quit smoking 9-9-04 so its been almost 3 months for us and we feel great...It was very hard for us the 1st few days of quitting but so very worth it...drink plenty of water, and keep busy...You sound like your mind is made up to quit and I think that is the key factor to being successful so YOU CAN DO THIS!! Congrats to you for making this step :D

Wonderful way to play a winners game with yourself. Keep score. You will always be ahead. Feel it in my bones, you are a winner!! WTG!! You are already over 1/2 way over the hump of withdrawal. Don't you dare give up. I'll have to scold you or spank you. You listen to the Nana.....

I have to say it is extemely hard!!! I have never in my life had so many suckers or ate so many smarties. I chew gum til my jaw hurts....but I see how this is helpin me in the long run.... Every now and again I will catch myself chewing on a pencil .... yuck. or I am non stop shaking my legs up and down as if I can't sit still, there have been a couple times I will be deeply into something and grab a pack of cigs (I kept just in case) go to take one out and go for the lighter and think to myself OMGawsh what am I doing. So I think i am doing good and again thanks for the support!!!
