Kids say the darndest things!
I was just sitting here at my desk, my youngest one home from 1st grade with pink eye. She picked up a pair of wings that were on the table. I said, "Leave those alone. Those are for Ashley's costume." (Ashley is my 16 year old daughter, walking in the city's annual Christmas parade tonight as an angel.)
"Her costume?"
"Yes, Ashley is going to be an angel tonight."
"An angel?" she says, looking at me in awe.
"Yes. Can you believe it? She's going to be in the parade."
"Wow! Ashley is going to be an angel!" and then she walked away, thinking about that. A minute later, she walked back over to me with one more question.

"So who gets to kill her?"

OMG!!! I rolled! Understand, it was particularly amusing to me, considering my daughter and I battled all morning while she was getting ready for school. It was "one of those days." Any parent of a teenage girl knows exactly what I'm talking about.
I'll probably have a smile on my face all day now, thinking about what my little one said. Too funny!

Oh so funny---out of the mouth of babes.
She interpreted it with the understanding she had of angels.

I wonder if Ashley will find it funny when I tell her after school today. LOL

That was cute. If we really take the time to listen to the little ones, they say lots of funny stuff. Like Art Linkletter always said, "kids say the darndest things".
