I am in total shock!

Some of you may remember a few weeks ago I posted about being scammed on e-bay for $700. Well, we had e-mailed the guy to no avail and paypal was no help. So, I requested his info from e-bay. We decided to wait until now to call this guy because we knew he would be expecting our call and wanted to catch him off guard! Well, guess what...we did just that. Dh called him and basically said, "Hi, this is the guy you scammed on e-bay and either you send me the $ back to paypal, or I WILL be contacting the FBI-Internet Fraud Dept and your local police." During the call, dh thought the guy hung up, so he called him again, but the guy was calling dh back apologizing about being cut off!!LOL Anyway, dh was told that the $ would be sent back as soon as he could get it done. Well, to my complete shock....the money was sent about 5 minutes later!!! :D

I am so thrilled and we are SO LUCKY to have gotten this $ back. I wish everyone who gets scammed was this lucky! Thanks for all the good vibes ;)

Well, we were shocked too!! He said that he had bought if off e-bay himself and never bothered to even open it up to look at it and decided to re-sell it. :rolleyes:

What a relief it must be for you! That is great that you got the money back. Did he explain why he never returned your emails and such? I am assuming that it was broken when you received it (what ever it was) but it sounds kind of fishy that he would buy it, then resell it without even opening it himself.
At any rate, I am glad that you are done with him.

wow, that's wonderful news! too bad he didn't say why he hadn't sent you the refund or why he tried to scam you. :rolleyes: it always seems to scar ppl when you mention the law! YEAH!

We received the item, but it was said to be brand new in the box and it had not only been used, but in horrible condition.


Thanks everyone....I had to go to paypal this morning to make sure the $ was really there!!LOL :)
