Eggnog Anyone????

Who all favors eggnog? Drinking more than a little glass of it makes me feel terrible.
I stay awaay from it usually for that reason

I love egg nog.

And I'm probably one of the pickiest eaters ever. Just one of those things you either like it or you hate it I suppose :D

I love a can of Borden's eggnog in the milk section. Another good play is Cook Out or Sonic for the eggnog shakes. Yummy. I drink alcohol but I also want my eggnog plain. Yummy :) Sometimes an added sprinkle of nutmeg :) But I didn't like my Dad's homemade eggnog, milk, raw eggs, sugar, a touch of vanilla flavoring and a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream plopped in the blender. GAG!!!

Eggnog is one of the best winter drinks! Very versatile, too! I like it best with kahlua & a sprinkle of nutmeg. Eggnog is also good w/ coffee brandy or rum, too. Not to mention the pies that you can make!

I never met anyone who DIDN'T like it. Maybe it is a New England thing?

A Yankee thing. Maybe you are right. My family loves it but we are Yankee transplants in 1965. None of my neighbors thru the years have cared for it, plain or with the goodies in it. Tice was an exceptiopn and liked whiskey in his and I could go for the rum in it.

I was just waiting for the time to roll around for the egg nog to show up in the milk section. :D I love that stuff, but I won't buy any until closer to Christmas... that stuff is so rich, don't want to over do it. :rolleyes:

Now I'm craving Egg Nog.

I don't think the egg nog you buy in the store actually has raw egg in it. I don't think they're allowed to sell it that way. I don't care if it does. It's good with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkling of cinnamon and nutmeg. YUM! I can indulge over the holiday season because I don't eat 1/2 the junk cooked for Thanksgiving and Christmas in my family.

Mmmmm....I LOVE EGG NOG! It, like all milk products, makes me ill, but I still sneak in at least one small glass each holiday season. For those of you that say it's too rich, most of my family mixes it half and half with milk, to lessen the richness.
Now I want egg nog!
