I have looked at a salary wizard, and what it suggests I should make for the basics of my job--I am a biller for an optometrist office to insurance and patients. Plus I process all payments made by patients, and also do receptionist duties, work 2 late nights a week. What the wizard suggests I make for the area I live in---Kansas City is about $8,000 less than I make. I also brought the accounts down in the past 3 months from over $75,000 out to less than $35,000. I was promised that they would reconsider my wages at that point. Well, its that point and they are kinda acting like they have no idea that the accounts has been brought down that much. Im trying to get "all my ducks in a row" because I plan on going to management and asking for what I feel I should be making. Any thoughts on what this type of work earns other places?
