A small vent but I think I should have gotten it

We got the KMart ad in this morning's newspaper. They had the color Video Nows on sale for $42.88 today only. I got there just before 11:00 this morning. The back of the ad said the sale prices started at 8:00 a.m. They were sold out already. So I went to Toys R Us (TRU) with my KMart ad and they honored the price. I got one for each of the boys for Christmas so there'd be no fighting! When I was at TRU they had their sale ad there and on the front page it said that you get a $10 gift card with any $75 purchase. But they wouldn't give it to me. They said that you couldn't get that if you price matched. But the ad said,

"FREE $10 Gift Card with ANY purchase of $75 or more!"

So doesn't that sound like I should have gotten it? My total came to over $91 so I think I should have qualified for the gift card. What do you think?

yes you should have gotten it.. and I would call the corp office and complain.. I would bet they will send you your gift cards

Yeah you should have been given the $10 gift card. It does not matter what you spent the $75 on in their store. Any purchase of $75 qualified for it. I hope you can get ahold of them at the corporate office. You deserve that card.

That sucks. Since it didn't specify any details about price matching they should have given it to you. I hope if you call or email them they will send it to you.

If the sign states you get the $10 card, and the restrictions are not on the sign or at the desk, You should get the card. I used to work at grocery stores, and sometimes we forgot to take down sale signs. We had to give it to them for the sale price. I would take the register tape, and show them you spent well over $75. Ask them WHERE they have the terms in writing. Or like someone else said, call the corporate office. Tell them you will fax the receipt (sp?) to them. I still think you should get the $10 card IMO
