I surfing BBS here, eating some Ramen for lunch, when I look at my spoon and see something odd. It's a maggot or something like that. And I'm sad - not grossed out. I wanted to eat that Ramen, it was good.

This is not the first time that's happened to me. The other times I were about 10 years ago. The first time I actually chewed on the pest (it was crunchy, so I spit it out to look). THe other times I inspected the cups before cooking and found them. This time it was one of those Maruchan packages.

Forget lunch, I think I'll just have a popsicle now.

OK, maybe now I'm getting grossed out. :(

 Thats so gross. I don't eat Ramen noodles anyway but I do buy them for the kids because they love them.

 I just looked and we have the same brand.

Go to planetfeedback and leave them some feedback about it.

Yep it has happened to me too. I quit eating them too but also if you look at the calorie content you might want to quit eating them also.

I suppose they thought you could use a little extra protein? I love oodles o noodles. Now I'm not so sure that I want any anylonger. That'll make my Mom happy. She doesn't like to buy them.

that's happened to me before. they are called meal worms. watch out for your flour, pasta, cereal, crackers etc... they are produced from those little moths you see in the summer.

I agree - send them a letter. They should recall the whole lot! EWWWW!

My kids eat these all the time!! Was it the one in the styrofoam cup?

I'm glad I wasn't eating! ;) GROSS-O! I would also leave a letter with planetfeedback. It's shocking at how much "stuff" is left in our food that we don't know about.. I've been thinking about that a lot and it really turns me off of eating processed foods... Or really any food. :(

Complain to the company about it and they will send you a free case of them---maggots and all. I don't know why companies do this. Like ok it's sickening so here's some more.

I'd rather have my money back.

I think what was in the noodles was a weevil larva....and it may not be the companies fault, it could also be the grocery store where the package was infested. Weevils like grain and flour so I would check your pantry and all grain and flour products there because they spread very fast. The larva looks like a small maggot and then turns into a very small beetle. HTH!
