There was a red moon a couple of nights ago and I cannot remember what th meaning of this is.

Could someone please help me out?

I did a search and found two different superstitions.

1) If you see a red moon someone close to you will die soon.

2) Incliment weather is ahead.

Also, found that a full moon in October is commonly called a Red Moon.

I will take the weather!!!! There was an actual red moon on Friday and Saturday here and I just could not remember what it meant. For some reason I thought it was a harvest moon and was likely to be a sign of fertility so I would not let my hubby get near me for that!! LOL

I did check the farmer's almanac and it said the red moon I saw was indeed a Harvest moon. The sighting of this is likely to bring wind. Nothing about the fertility stuff....LOL!!

LOL...One site did state that the moon represented women and a red moon represented "that time of month." However, I thought that a bit to graphic to post. :eek:

I had always heard the one about someone dying. Luckily, I'm not a superstitious person. Knock on wood. ;)

I had always heard that if the moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligned with Mars; that peace would guide the planets and love would move the stars ....
