Hope you set a plate for me son. You need to have Mom over more often. And please make the veggie corn. Haven't had it for a spell. How are you fixing the round steak? I can bring shredded cheese for the baked taters :)

Are you making any or all of this yourself? Sounds like one of Sheila's meals. :D Sounds wonderful... especially homemade applesauce.
DH wants leftovers so I guess I'll just have a Happy Meal or something.

Seriously...
chicken parts (thighs and legs)...just my preference.
1 can chicken broth
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of broccoli and cheese
2 1/2 cups rice
2 cans mushrooms
1 stick of butter
1 box Stove top stuffing mix
Sage (to suit taste)
Paprika (to suit taste)
Pepper (suit taste)
Boil chicken until meat falls off the bones. Pull chicken and set aside.
In crock pot put in chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, cream of broccoli/cheese soup. Mix and heat. Add rice, butter, seasonings, cook until rice is done. Add in mushrooms, chicken and stove top stuffing. May need to add water. (I used about 1 1/2 cups). Heat until all liquid is absorbed. Put in baking dish, cover with cheese until cheese is melted and serve or serve out of crock pot.
OK...I was cleaning out the fridge/freezer and cabinet and started throwing things into the pot. Adding as I went. Having the left overs tonight.
Very healthy diet I'm on. :p

Sounds like you sneaked into my kitchen while I was running errands this morning. You don't have a fridge or even power. And there is no place to hide a generator :D The recipe is good because it's the one you used from Sheila :D

Hey T, another way you can make that round steak is...
Buy a big round steak and put in in a pan (or crock pot), pour a package of Lipton Onion Soup Mix on it and then pour a can of cream of mushroom soup that has been mixed with one can of water over the meat and onion soup. Cover with foil (or put the lid on the crock pot) and bake on 325 for about 2 - 3 hours. It makes it very tender and it smells great when its cooking! I make this and serve it with mashed potatoes, green beans and corn bread.

Actually, it is good. Little on the rich side. Just a way to clean out the fridge/freezer and cabinets. LOL. Plus I was hungry from living off moldy bread and water for a month. ;)
I like eating at Ryan's. Good deal for the money.

nana...I just ran out into the back yard, grabbed one of your chickens, wrung it's neck, plucked it and threw it in the pot. Surprised you didn't notice one of your chickens was missing. OK...I'm joking before somebody gets all out of sorts. I didn't wring it's neck, I chopped the head off with an axe.

Now we know why she keeps him at her house. She probably lets him out three times a day to cook for her!

ok the pumpkin brule' is nothing more than homemade pumpklin pie batter (yes from real pumpkins) i had leftover from makin pies the other day... i put it in a round corning dish in a ban marie ( a water bath) then when it was done (same cooking time for a pie really) i put brown sugar on top.. poured a lil vodka... lit it... then when the vodka was cooked down i quick popped it under the broiler... (wathcing it very very carefully)
it has been chilling in the fridge now for a few hours...
believe it or not it is sooooooo simple to do... if i had a blow tourch it would have been easier!!!!!

Too cool!!! I think I will do the brulee this Thanksgiving instead of pumpkin pie. I love to put a new twist on our traditional dishes. Awesome! Thanks for telling me how you do it. Sounds fabulous and easy too!

I wondered what all that red liquid and white feathers were from. Now you are in deep doo - doo. You are not allowed to go to Ryan's this weekend you naughty boy :D
And for y'all, Crick does NOT know how to cook. He just prints recipes and claims he follows them :D
