After the pickles are gone
Take the brine and heat it in the microwave
and add about 1/2 c vinegar and
5-6 packets of equal (to taste)

My Mom (she's in her 80's)

Another use for Dill Pickle Juice is to put hard boiled eggs in it for a couple days. Then make egg salad sandwiches or eat the eggs by themselves. MMMM. My dad taught me this.

I hate beets. Maybe after a while they will taste like pickles and then you can eat them. My mom did something with beets one time and it took the taste out of them.

Or just drink it. I love watching people react when I take a BIGGGGG drink from the jar.

LOL! I use to drink pickle juice all the time when I was a kid. I loved it! Haven't done since I was a kid though  I like pickles and I like beets but I don't like pickled beets.

OK...call me the WORST thriftaholic there is, but Yes, T, it will work. I haven't done it since I left my parents' home (my dad was the BIGGEST pickled beet lover), but you can reuse the pickle brine to make pickled beets.
And, I still eat them!! I love them on salads with ranch dressing. My parents grew up at the end of the Depression and many of their hints to help things go longer have stuck with me.
