Sentimental Journey just flew over my house

B-17 used in WWII. It was here on display Sat. It visits 60 cities and towns each year as a patriotic and educational exhibit. Neat.

Way Cool :cool: We have lots of that stuff at our airport. I love the old bi-planes. I can see them from my front yard being less than 2 miles from the airport. Doesn't it just give you goosebumps seeing history in the air? :)

Well I was thinking it was just another plane. Don't know about these things but my hubby stopped and looked up at it. Told me what it was and then I was impressed. The ariport isn't far from us but it's a little one.

We have the Cosmephere here in Hutchinson and have the space things. The capsules the astronauts' suits. Things that were brought back from the moon. Etc.

In Wichita we would see Air Force One--the president's plane or at least one of them fly over. It came for a check-over at our air force base. Also say other weird looking planes fly over. One looked like a flying wing. We saw more impressive aircraft there but these old planes are special since they were in the war and protected us.
