His surgery was at 9:00 a.m. Friday. They told him there would be discomfort, but no pain. They were incorrect! The procedure was uncomfortable, but the recovery has been painful. Not horribly painful, but he was expecting no pain so...

His vision has improved quite a bit, but it is still impaired. They said it will take up to 21 days for the full effect. Anyone else have this done??

I have several family members who have had it done. A few say they had pain, but most complained of intense itching. You are correct that it takes about 3 weeks for the full effect. I hope he feels better!

I had it done and consider it a miracle surgery. I had very minor pain...so minor that I would say it was more discomfort than pain.

I was driving myself the very next day!!!

It does take several weeks (if not months) before you have the final vision that you will end up with.

My husband also had it done (no pain)...but he ended up needing an 'enhancement'...that's a second procedure to fine-tune things. The down-side to that was that his vision had to be stabilized for three full months before they would do the enhancement...so that worked out to be about 6 months from the initial surgery. He needed glassed for the interim period...and they couldn't be his old glasses because his vision was much improved from what it was before...but still requiring some correction.

After the enhancement...his vision was great.

I think your hubby will be glad when everything settles in.

I had worn some type of corrective lenses for over 40 years. I still can't believe it when I wake up and I can see clearly!!
