My DH's unit just got reactivated.

He just came home from Iraq/Kutwait March 31. Now hes gettin ready to go to FL, they leave Monday for at least 3 weeks. I TOLD him and TOLD him his unit was gonna go down there cause on the news last night they said 3 Transportation units from AL were bein activated and sent and theres only a few left here, the rest are over in Iraq/Kuwait. He said "no, we're not goin, we have no trucks or guns, they'll send another unit." HA! Gee, guess wifey does know what she is talkin about. Just when I get used to him bein home again hes gone. *sigh* At least this isnt so dangerous like over there was. So any of ya Floridians who are still able to be online, Im wishin ya the best of luck with this hurricane, my DH will be down soon to help ya'll out. Be nice to him! ;)

Now he gets to become a Hero again...Iam so glad that he is home and is able to go help them poor people down there...sorry you will miss him though.

I am just so glad that hes not goin somewhere he can get shot at. The big downer is my bday is in one week so he will miss it for the second year in a row. :( We had a lovely evening planned out. :( Oh well, they need the help more than I need to see Resident Evil Apocolypse (sp?). lol

Jen at first I thought your post was that Ron was going back to the sandbox. So relieved that isn't so. Glad he is going to help some of "our own" here. FL will be the better for it. By the way, Mur left March 13 just as Ron was coming home from the sandbox.

Nana~ I am sooo glad hes not goin back over there, though its not completely out of the picture. :( Found out he is supposed to come back the 20th so its not that long but still too long. lol Oh well, another fun homecoming! ;)

I'm so sorry he has to leave again :( One of our good friends came back around the same time as your husband and he was just transferred back to his original unit.(The unit he went with last time needed him so he transferred there). Now, they are leaving on the 18th(can't remember which base he's going to), but going back for sure. Funny, he's in a Transportation unit as well.

I'm not sure where Evergreen is, but is it in North AL? Friend is actually in the reserves, but I know he drills somewhere in N. AL. Hoover is right outside of Birmingham.

Nope not in the northern part. lol We are the half way point between Montgomery and Mobile. His brother lives up outside of Birmingham though. lol My DH is also in the reserves though he did 6 years active duty before etsing and enlistin in the reserves.
