My 98 year old Great-Grandma has passed

Inside I am so sad, but I know she is in such a better place. Free to fly with all the other angels that surround her, with no pain or worries.

Granny Rice was a beautiful and spunky little lady. I remember the good times that I had as a child on the foothills of the mountain where she lived in SC. Up until a few years ago, she tended her garden everyday and enjoyed her rose bushes and plants. She knew all the latest local gossip and kept it going, she was such a ham. Her memory will live on in my heart for the rest of my days.

As I sit here typing, I began to cry, but deep inside I am happy for her because I know that she is now at peace. I will always love you Granny.

Sorry to hear about your grandma - wow 98 years old. We should all be so lucky..

My grandma died two weeks shy of her 90th - and we thought that was longevity!

Andrea I am so sorry for your loss. I know it leaves a whole but fill it with memories of granny rice. I pray you find comfort. When we lose someone we love I always try to think well now my brother (whom is deceased) now how someone else to talk to, so know that my brother is talking granny Rice's ear off...lol...trust me hoe had the ability to do it. Remember your granny putzin around in her flowers and her garden. She sounded like a spry one. I have a granny that was the same way and for the last four years, her body just went kaput. She's still got her mind and can bs w/the best of em, she just cant move around like she could. I agree w/an above poster. That hole in your heart fill it w/the good memories.
