Body Found In Tulsa Park
Police are questioning witnesses at Norberg Park at East 33rd and Garnett. where a body was discovered along a jogging trail about an hour-and-a-half ago. A Tulsa police spokesperson says they're investigating the homicide of a woman in her 30s found along a wooded jogging trail on the back side of the park.
There was apparent trauma to the victim's body and she'd reportedly been involved in some type of struggle. Police say they don't believe her body could have been there long.
Capt Rick Helberg, Tulsa Police: "It's a very active park. When we got here there was probably 50 people in the park. There was the normal tennis players. There was people sitting out on the gazebo enjoying the park, having no idea what was back, back there."
Captain Rick Helberg says the woman was not wearing obvious workout clothing. He says investigators would like to talk with the woman who made the initial 9-1-1 call at about 8:30 this evening.
