My mom is looking into getting me something while driving, in case of an emergency. She bid on a tracfone on ebay already, before checking it out LOL. On the txt messaging, how much does it cost?

Each text message, whether sent or received costs 1/2 unit of air time.

If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask or PM me. I deal with these things on a regular basis at work. Can tell you about a few different options that are out there.

It costs me 10 cents. I have a regular cell phone with Sprint service so it might be different for you.

Cross your fingers she get's outbid! It's $20 for 40 minutes of talk time (.50 a minute), each text message is 1/2 a minute. You have to buy more airtime every 60 days or you lose your minutes. If you run out of minutes on your phone you have to get a new number. I hate mine and the next Saturday hubby is off work we're going to get a joint plan!

My phone won't let me send or recieve text messages and the customer service trying to figure out why has been absolutely useless!!!

Hmmmm..... Now I have to go back to the think tank...

I love mine. We just use it for emergencies or if I need to call DH on his way home from work and tell him to pick up this or that.
