I'm gonna lose it.....

My inlaws are coming in town tonight. I have been stressed out trying to clean and get ready. I still have to go to the grocery store and get light bulbs and a shower curtain(for the 2nd bathroom). Dh has been working LONG and I mean LONG hours and my car is not working, so I have to wait until he gets home so we can go......ANYWAY, here's what has brought me to the edge....

Inlaws are going to stay with us instead of getting a hotel, ONLY if we have cable turned on. We just hadn't gotten around to doing it yet, no big deal. I call yesterday, get things set up. I'm told "someone will be there tommorrow between 2-4pm". Guess what....I wait and I wait and I wait until 5:45 and decide to call to see whats going on. The rep proceeds to tell me that I am not scheduled until the 26TH!!!!! Nothing she can do, end of story. I am so ticked right now I can't see straight! I am going to call and cancel with Charter tommorrow when I am calm because I dont think I could talk nicely tonight. They just lost a good customer..... :mad:

Um, your inlaws will only stay if you have cable? Cripes, if I'd known about that rule, we'd have lost HBO about 10 years ago! :D

Do they need to lay wire? or is it a case of you just needing the box? If it is just the box, if you have a charter office near you, they will let you pick it up there, and it is sooooo easy to install yourself (I have charter HD TV & internet---set everything up myself)

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{hug}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} Maybe this is a blessing in disguise... You won't have the inlaws under your feet all the time if they stay in a hotel(think it is a little rude myself that they refuse to stay if you don't have cable) And you will have a more enjoyable time with them.(less stress)

Thanks guys......I know it seems rude, but I dont take it that way. I LOVE my inlaws...although it WILL be nice not to have them under my feet!:) It just makes me mad that I held everything off today just for that. My poor daughter all but begged me all day to go to the park. We cleaned(yes, my 4 year old LIKES to clean!!) most of the morning! Anyway...thanks for the hugs...pretty stressed out here lately! :o
