Has anyone tried the Hersheys 1 gram sugar candy bar? It has 16g carbs and 12 g of fat. It is a 1.1oz candy bar that costs 75 cents and sells for around $1.09. Pretty pricey and darn small too............lol

12 grams is a lot of fat too isn't it. lol I don't eat candy bars very often so I don't really know what the usual fat count is.

Does it have that Splenda stuff in it? For all of you West Coasters, I wonder if Sees will come out with something like this.

Nope haven't seen them. I noticed yesterday that Russel Stovers has low carb chocolate bars but they still have I think 14 carbs. I wanted to try it but it was a box of mini bars for like $4. Too expensive just to try them.

Just went to the fridge where I have a stash of Nestles Crunch. It has 12 fat grams and I eat them 2 at a time. I'll have to check Kit Kats when I go to the store this week. What is the big deal with carbs? Seriously, I don't understand.

Yes and it was NASTY. I bought one for DH and he didn't want to try it so I did. It tasted like unsweetened chocolate and left a bitter aftertaste.
I gave the rest of it to the girls and they spit it out LOL

I tried one the other day and I thought it was pretty good considering it's a diet type of candy.

Some of those carbs are probably sugar alcohols, which can be deducted from the carb count, along with fiber. They (sugar alcohols) can cause gastric distress, so some low carb dieters avoid them. I just had some Russell Stover pecan delites, which had only 1 carb per pack after fiber and sugar alcohols were deducted and boy, was my tummy rumbly!! But they were delish!

I have tried them and for a diet candy bar they are pretty good, but they are at least a dollar each around here if you can find them.

Yup, what Shan said! Watch those sugar alcohols. If they DON'T cause you some gassiness or diarrhea it means your body is able to processing the SAs as sugar and you need to count the total carbs and NOT deduct the Sas.
