Big old red dog is still alive!

I just wanted to let you all know that the big Chow dog is still alive and kicking! He sleeps most of the time, but that dog would kick anyones arse that threatened my family or me. He's pushing 14 and the arthritis is pretty bad, but my goodness, he is hanging on for me. What a blessing he is! I am so lucky to have him., I thank my lucky stars for the day that he adopted me!

I am happy for you. I know how you feel I am on my second adoptted doggie and I would not trade for all the money in the world. My doggy I have left is just like one of my children. Peaches and I stick together the only females in the house.lol We both get our moods seems at the same time she must take her ques from me we do stick together.lol

My neighbor was telling me a couple weeks ago that cosaquin is great for arthuritis (sp). They used it with their dog and it did wonders. Their vet gave a shot of it and then started him on this cosaquin. She said it is also for humans which is called cosamin and that it helps with joint pain wonderfully. They swear by it. Ask your vet. Naturemade makes it and it isnt to expensive.

awww , well i am glad hes still kicking, i believe hes telling you hes not ready to leave the world yet, he knows he has a great home and a great owner

have you tried giving him MSG for the arthritis... my parents had an old chow/lab mix that had it bad and the MSG sure seemed to help.
