sad week for me

Today would have been my mother's 79th birthday. August 4th it will be 4 years since my father passed away. August 5th will be my brother's son's 10th birthday. But none of us have been allowed to see him for 5 years.(long story)

We all have sad dates to have to live through. Try to think of something happy to relate to the sad thing. My mom like yours was 75, she had just had her birthday 2 days before she died. While she was in the hospital, Daddy got the impression that she was thought of as "old". He was 74 at the time. Months later after she was gone, he said "You know, everyone thought we were so old, but I had never thought of us as old" and he grinned. They are both gone and when I am having a sad moment I do think about Daddy saying that to me. He lived to be 84 and I thought he was old. Now as I am getting on up there, 84 doesn't sound quite that old and 75 seems down right young.
