They say when it rains it pours....such has been my life lately. Amongst some very private and personal problems Hubby and I have been going through these last few mons, now my health decides to fail. Last week I got diagnosed with gallstones and they gotta come out. I should find out this week when I meet with my surgeon to discuss it. And to make matters worse my doc of 4 years decided to retire to spend time with her kids while they were still small. My house is a mess and 3 of my cats are sick with colds waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :( :(

I am so sorry for you. I had my GB removed years ago..hardly can see any scars. I am close enough to you, if I can do anything for you, just let me know.

don't worry about having the gallbladder removed, you will feel so much better after it is out. They can do it laproscopically now, so you only have some very tiny scars.

I had mine done with the scope some 10 years ago.
Major discomfort before OR from the gallstones.
After OR the only discomfort I had was in recovery room, needed 2 injections.
Minimal tiny little scars after healing.

It was my easiest surgery ever!
If you wait too long, you can become jaundiced and then have to
wait even longer, be on IV antibiotics, and have to have an open surgery.

You'll be glad it's out.

Sending warm hugs your direction.
